Ideally situated for the Channel ports and Chunnel is usually open March to October.
The site has a big foreign clientele group .
The site is split into different sizes of field with large mature hedges , and has a small restaurant and bar on site open from Easter for high season only—and very friendly too.
There are a few static's on site that are not available for hire, but the main usage is foreign people arriving and departing from holidays You could be the only English campers there. Lots of campers and backpackers call here before their Ferry Crossings
It is a 10 minute walk to the town, and the small but pleasant beach at the foot of the cliffs
Route—Down to the Café at the cliff top then down the steps to the sea wall promenade under the Railway bridge ( tackle shops here for Sea Fishing also the Dive shop too) and round the Harbour. If like me now you are in a wheelchair use your buggy or a taxi as you have to go right into the town to get access to Folkestone that doesn’t involve steps, once you’re down the cliff it’s OK to get around , although some Pubs have steps to get in and no ramps.
This site is in the middle of the Warren nature reserve so expect to see lots of animals and birds when it is quiet (especially rabbits well it is on the warren).
This is one of my favourite sites on the South Coast, if only because we have visited it so much Especially on Hypermarche raids we make each Year.
This year (2011) we went down and arrived as the SKAbour Music festival was on around hardourside locations which meant we saw lots more folk in the town.
